Introduction

Hello and thank you for dropping by to check out my work. My name is Brianna, I am from Alberta, Canada. Born and raised on ranches in Alberta and British Columbia. I have recently married an incredible man from the states and am now on the path to becoming a Montanan. I have a deep love of the cowboy way and the ever present craftsmanship that is found throughout the lifestyle. My whole life I have been a maker, from duct tape wallets and paper hats as a child, to bridesmaid dresses and rodeo queen outfits as time went on. If I could learn how to make it I did. Going to college in Lethbridge, AB for fashion design, I took that new knowledge and for years made a little business for myself. Making wildrags, vests, dresses and custom garments. Always striving to learn more and try new things. I have dabbled with leatherwork as well and really enjoy it. But still had a feeling that I was missing something creatively. Until I had the opportunity to try engraving with Kelly McRae in Pincher Creek, AB. Let me tell you what!!! That first time picking up the graver and cutting into a little copper practice plate to make my first brightcut… it was a moment! The feeling of this is it, I have found it, I know exactly what I was meant to be a maker of. So here I am, learning and practicing and sharing my work! I am excited to see what I will be capable of over the years with more time and experience. But here is the beginning of my work and I am so grateful to share little pieces of it with you. I am always, always proud to share what can be made my own hands.
